works with you to find IT-driven ways of making your business run better. Our clients are small business owners who know that growth and value are held back if you depend on one or two key people being there all the time. Everything we do is about helping you improve the systems and processes on which you rely.
"The advice we received from Arbutus Ridge was invaluable and we are very pleased with their Jumpstart package.”

Would you like to meet up for a chat over coffee about your business IT systems?
Perhaps you are struggling to get yours to work properly and could do with an IT advisor to help sort out some problems. Or are you thinking of upgrading your system, but would appreciate some advice on how to go about it and the pitfalls to avoid? We would be delighted to discuss these and other issues in an informal no-sales-pitch environment.
We are resident most Mondays between 5 and 6 pm at Starbucks - 30 George ST Edinburgh (Corner of Hanover ST). Look out for the Arbutus Ridge sign. Please call 0845 094 8487 if you would like to confirm an appointment, or to make a different, more convenient arrangement.
Looking forward to meeting you soon.
We will set-up any infrastructure required for your proposed system.
This will typically consist of a network based around Microsoft Small Business Server (SBS), Business Contact Manager (BCM) and Office. SBS and BCM come with contact management, remote working and sales and marketing features. Your staff can now work together on shared contacts and calendars and remote workers are catered for.
We will setup your system infrastructure for a fixed fee, which includes standard networking and installing your users on the network.
We will also propose any necessary hardware or software. It’s worth noting that we don’t represent any equipment manufacturers, nor do we take commission on hardware or software items which we suggest to you. Where we are able to negotiate a discount, we will pass those discounts on. Our business is to use our expertise to make your systems work for your business, not to sell you kit. You are always in charge of what you wish to buy.
We break the proposal down into a menu of improvement packages, for your selection. Each package is offered at a fixed price.
We will train you on your new system, concentrating on your specific uses and requirements. For example, if your business requires job specifications, we will look at how to handle this information in your system in the way that is most useful to you.
Training normally consists of two parts:
Training naturally covers any new features introduced by your new systems and any Quick Wins that we have implemented for you.
Once you have signed up to a package with us, we will initiate a Jumpstart Handbook for your company and will continue to maintain the handbook for the duration of our relationship. The Jumpstart Handbook documents the system we have set up for you, provides handouts for the training we have supplied and describes the company process maps and procedures covered by your system.
